Mara Lion & other predators project

This project promotes community engagement in wildlife conservation. The overall goal of the project is to empower and integrate women and children into conservation by increasing knowledge and appreciation of wildlife. We recognized the role of women in the society as key to protection of lions and other big cats, which is timely and highly required to save them (cats) from extinction. Besides learning about lions or other cats, the project also enables women to draw clear understanding between linkages and comparison relating to the roles of conservation partners including the role of the national government, county government, conservancies, tour operators and host community.
